Recently, DLP Capital Partners “Inner Circle” of elite Investors were treated to a relaxing weekend getaway on St. Simons Island, GA. As a special thank you, Don Wenner, CEO, hosted approximately 40 guests at The Sea Gate Inn, a luxury-style condominium hotel, for two days of fun in the sun.

Upon check-in, DLP team members provided Inner Circle guests with personalized welcome bags, including beach towels, sunscreen, DLP water bottles, and reading material inspired by Don’s favorites: GRIT, What the Heck is EOS?, and Great by Choice, in addition to a historical book on St. Simons Island.

Highlights of the retreat included a rooftop cocktail reception, 18 holes of golf at Heritage Oaks Golf Club, a biking excursion on nearby Jekyll Island, a St. Simons Island trolley tour, dinner at Ocean Lodge Rooftop, and more!  Guests also enjoyed private beach time on St. Simons, (voted American’s #1 favorite beach town by Travel + Leisure Magazine) and had full access to luxury amenities like tennis, fitness center, and pool offered by the Sea Palms Resort.

Meg Dubbs, DLP Creative Design Manager, said, “After putting in all the hard work to make this retreat happen, it was very rewarding to see our Investors having fun and getting to know each other in a small, relaxed setting. Some even established new friendships during the trip that otherwise would not have happened.”

In addition to weekend activities, Investors were treated to two informal presentations. Don spoke about current investment funds, the inner workings of Dream Live Prosper and investment opportunities on the horizon. Malcolm L. “Skip” Cohen, II (President) and Christopher W. Lakatosh, (Principal and Senior Consultant) of Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management (whom we have a preferred partnership with as an RIA) spoke about a new opportunity – the importance of private placement life insurance in addition to giving a market update through their expert insight.

Larry Hickernell, Jr., Senior Investor Success Manager, commented, “Not only was it important for us to thank our Inner Circle members, but also to offer them a sneak peek at upcoming funds and investment opportunities. We are confident that through our Investors’ success with DLP, they will help spread the word to potential new Investors to join the DLP family.”

Don summed up the weekend commenting, “I do not think I have ever been more thankful for the amazing family of investors we have at DLP, truly an unbelievably incredible group of people. I left the weekend more determined than ever to continue on our twenty-mile march of delivering consistent positive returns to our investors.”
