On Friday, April 26, 2019, CEO Don Wenner and the DLP Real Estate Capital team welcomed over 200 attendees to the grand opening of its new headquarters, located at 95 Highland Avenue in Bethlehem, PA. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, local radio stations broadcasted live from 3 to 5 p.m., and several Lehigh Valley food trucks served a variety of menu selections. The celebration also included fundraising for both Second Harvest Food Bank and the DLP Positive Returns Foundation.
Angela DelGrosso, Senior Vice President of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, and John Diacogiannis, Chairman of Hanover Township gave opening remarks. Wenner, along with his family and the DLP Executive Leadership Team, cut the ceremonial ribbon while enthusiastic team members and guests counted down.
Wenner commented, “I’m so proud of all that we have accomplished thus far at DLP Real Estate Capital. My entrepreneurial career started early in life, when I sold Hostess Donnettes to my classmates in elementary school, then sold home alarm systems, started my career in real estate, and finally, built the DLP Real Estate Capital family of companies. When we moved into our first headquarters back in 2011, that move consisted of myself, my team members, and my wife literally renting a truck, packing ourselves up, and doing the move ourselves to a 1,500 square foot office space. Soon after, we became one of the fastest growing companies not just in the Lehigh Valley but in the country and we’ve remained there for the past 7 years.”
DLP team members, investors, clients, and additional attendees brought over 900 pounds of canned and dry goods and $500 in monetary donations for Second Harvest Food bank, equating to 3,700 meals for people in need! Those who donated enjoyed dinner, provided by Vince’s Famous Cheesesteaks and Fired Up food trucks as well as a pig roast, courtesy of 99.9 The Hawk radio station. A dessert table included DLP-decorated cupcakes from Weis Markets. Wenner was interviewed on local radio stations B104, News Radio 790 WAEB, Cat Country 96, and 99.9 The Hawk.
Jessica Dokachev, Director ofSecond Harvest Food Bank, commented, “We were honored to be a part of the grand opening of DLP’s new headquarters. The food and funds donated at the event will make a difference in the lives of thousands of families that we serve. We are thankful for DLP and their commitment to making the Lehigh Valley a healthier community.”
Attendees could also make a monetary donation to the DLP Positive Returns Foundation, an organization that supports local Lehigh Valley organizations with a focus on employment and affordable housing. Almost $700 was raised for the foundation. As a thank you, supporters were entered into a drawing for a chance to win two 1-week stays at a DLP vacation home! Winners could choose from beautiful properties located in either Asheville, NC or on St. Simons Island, GA.
Additionally, DLP Capital Partners launched a new fund, the Positive Fixed Returns Fund, with 100% of one year’s management fee to be donated to the Foundation. A $5,000 bonus toward any DLP Immediate Cash Offer or Guaranteed Sale Price from DLP Realty was also offered, in addition to $1,000 donated to the Foundation for each home purchased.
Wenner continued, “From my early days as a 21-year old real estate entrepreneur in 2006 to becoming the #1 real estate team in the Lehigh Valley in 2010, to now having almost 300 team members located in 15 states, we are continually guided by our core values and strive to deliver top client and customer service. We look forward to the future as the Lehigh Valley is, and will remain, our home for many years to come.”
