DLP Capital Partners hosted 36 Inner Circle Investors at our second annual Inner Circle Retreat on beautiful St. Simons Island, GA. The weekend getaway served as a thank you for being a valued member of the Inner Circle family and included a fun-filled and relaxing schedule of events.

“Our Inner Circle Retreats provide us with a unique opportunity to show our appreciation for our most supportive investors while receiving insightful feedback. Additionally, we have the opportunity to share the inner working of DLP’s vision, direction, and strategy,” explained Don Wenner, CEO and President of DLP Capital Partners.

Upon their Friday arrival at The Sea Gate Inn, guests received DLP-branded welcome sports bags that included a custom event guide, Inner Circle branded water bottles, essentials for a comfortable weekend, as well as a DLP fleece jacket, which came in handy with the chillier temperatures. A cocktail hour and buffet dinner was held at the Ocean Lodge Rooftop Restaurant overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

Saturday, guests enjoyed breakfast at Ocean Lodge Rooftop while listening to Don’s presentation of DLP’s recent Vision Day — a celebration of 2018 accomplishments and highlight of our long-term vision and goals. Guests were invited to share their own goals for the new year which included business, personal, retirement, and family.

Many agreed that because of their DLP investments, they have been able to retire earlier, allowing them to spend more quality time with their children and grandchildren. And, they’re taking that extra money to not only enjoy life but to leave something for their own families. Additional goals include:

Skip commented, “I’ll be driving more progress and direction as Interim CEO for the Allentown Rescue Mission.”

Christian shared, “My wife and I have a ‘celebration’ list for each year, not a ‘to do’ list.

“Our goal is to continue our ministry work in Africa, this year for 3 months,” added prospective investors Geoff and Nina.

Finally, Joe and Margaret (both longtime investors and former real estate flippers) said, “We’ll let Don do the work, we’ll spend more time together.”

After breakfast, guests toured nearby Jeckyll Island’s historic district, visited the Jeckyll Island Turtle Center, rode bicycles around the island, and shopped. Lunch was provided at The Wharf, a riverfront restaurant and part of the Jeckyll Island Club Resort. Saturday evening, guests were treated to a private waterfront banquet at Coastal Kitchen on St. Simons Island. Before traveling home on Sunday, guests enjoyed breakfast at Palm Coast Coffee.

“For many of our Inner Circle members, this was their first visit to St. Simons Island,” said Larry Hickernell, DLP Senior Investor Success Manager. “The retreat was an excellent way for us to further deepen our already strong relationships with our closest investors. We look forward to bringing everyone together again for our future third annual retreat.”

The DLP Capital Partners Inner Circle is comprised of an elite group of investors who have either invested at least $1 million with DLP Capital Partners or have referred others to become investors with us.
