On Thursday, April 25, 2019, DLP Capital Partners held its largest attended informational dinner to date at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, our new Bethlehem venue and a historical landmark. CEO Don Wenner packed the house with close to 300 attendees, including both current and prospective investors, along with invited guests.
Current investors enjoyed a private happy hour and lengthy Q&A session with Don prior to the event. An enjoyable and lively
dinner presentation followed, including testimonials from three current investors who presented their own personal perspective on what it means to invest with DLP Capital Partners. Throughout the event, the audience answered informative and entertaining quiz questions in order for a chance to win an extended all-expenses-paid weekend at one of two private DLP vacation properties.
Don announced the launch of a new investment opportunity called the DLP Positive Returns Fund, which will house all new note investments moving forward. With this fund, DLP Capital Partners will donate a one year’s management fee to the DLP Positive Returns Foundation. The foundation helps provide affordable housing and employment through Good Works, a faith-based non-profit organization that focuses on transforming lives by repairing homes for low-income families.
Current investor Bob L., who is involved with Good Works, commented, “We sleep better at night. We got tired of watching the paint dry from our IRA funds because the only growth was the money that we put into it. Investing with DLP Capital Partners has allowed me to do things in my retirement that I really wanted to do. When we met Don, it was easy to develop a sense of comfort that he was an honest and upright business person. What I see in Don is the ability to build a business the right way from the start. I would tell prospective investors ‘what are you waiting for?’”
A second investor, Neal N., was looking for an investment opportunity with more consistent returns. Neal stated, “I’ve been an investor with DLP Capital Partners for almost three years. From sitting down and speaking with Don, we felt a sense of his honesty, integrity, and ability to conduct clear, due diligence.”
Lastly, attendees heard from investor Andy G. Andy commented, “I’ve been involved in real estate development and rental properties for years. Being an investor with DLP has allowed me to work less, as I always thought I’d just keep working. I’ve done well but never really had an exit strategy. Now, as I start thinking about retirement, I actually have the means to do so. I can retire on my terms because I have a significant amount of money invested with DLP. I believe in Don and have known him for six years. He’s got great integrity, intelligence, and work ethic. He’s been an inspiration to us all which gives me a lot of trust. I’ve been involved in four funds and it’s not just paper, it’s tangible. I stay in the properties and see people working every single day. I even had an opportunity to host an event in my home with family, friends, and neighbors.”

After the presentation, Don continued to answer questions well into the evening. The night came to a close with the announcement of three raffle winners: Garry and Mary S., Jim and Nancy B., and John L., all of whom won an extended stay at one of two beautiful DLP vacation properties.
